Connect your Polymarket account

RungBot needs one thing from you: your Polymarket private key. You paste it once, and the connect window then shows your wallet and your balance.

What the private key is

Your Polymarket account lives on a blockchain. The private key is the long string that proves the account is yours and lets orders be signed in your name. It is the account, in the same way a house key is the house.

Two things follow from that, and both matter:

• The key stays on your computer. RungBot signs orders locally and sends the signature, not the key. It never travels to us, because we have no server for it to travel to.
• Anyone holding your key holds your money. Never paste it into a website, never send it in a chat, never put it in a screenshot. Nobody from RungBot will ever ask you for it — not in Discord, not by email, not ever.

There is no way to undo this

If someone gets your key, they can empty the account and nothing can reverse it. There is no support line and no password reset. Treat that string the way you treat the money itself.

Step 1 — export the key from Polymarket

Polymarket keeps your key with a provider called Magic. To get a copy of it:

1. Open reveal.magic.link/polymarket.
2. Sign in with the same email or account you use for Polymarket.
3. Confirm, and the page shows your private key. It starts with 0x.
4. Copy it.

The connect window has the same link next to the key field, so you do not have to remember this address.

Step 2 — paste it into RungBot

Open RungBot. The connect window appears first, with the Polymarket tab in front.

Paste the key into the field marked with a key icon. It is hidden as you type — press the eye button at the end of the field if you want to check what you pasted.

Remember key saves it so you do not paste it on every start. It is stored by your operating system’s own secure storage — Windows Credential storage or the Mac Keychain — not in a plain file. Leave it off on a shared computer. Forget key removes it again at any time.

Step 3 — press Login

Two fields fill in on their own:

• Wallet — the Polymarket wallet address your key controls.
• Balance — the money available to trade.

Each has an eye button that hides the value, which is worth using before you share your screen.

If the balance matches what Polymarket shows you in the browser, you are connected and ready.

When it does not work

“Invalid private key” or the key icon turns red. The string is incomplete or has something extra in it. Copy it again from the reveal page, without spaces before or after. It must start with 0x.

The balance shows zero but Polymarket shows money. You have exported the key of a different account from the one holding the funds. Check that you signed in to the reveal page with the same email you use for Polymarket.

Login hangs or reports a network error. Logging in is a single request to Polymarket, so this usually means Polymarket is unreachable rather than a problem with your key. Check that polymarket.com opens in your browser, then try again.
